We had the great joy of providing signage for the new Selkirk Regional Health Centre, which replaced Selkirk’s main hospital. There were many aspects to this job, both inside and out. When you first enter the property, you’ll see the main sign pylon complete with a digital display. We also manufactured and installed several wayfinding monuments outside as well as inside. The exterior displays a few sets of halo-lit letters as well as some big channel letter “H”s. The inside has many varieties of wayfinding and identification signage.
Possibly the most interesting sign is the donor wall. It’s located in the centre of the facility which is an outdoor garden. This wall, put simply, is an acrylic structure that is internally illuminated with RGB LED’s. These LED’s very slowly and subtly fade from one color to another.
